ROMAIN

Known online as Ezra Roman, Romain moves between art, performance, and adult content with a distinctly visual and refined approach. From comic illustration to photography and erotic storytelling, his work blends discipline, sensuality, and emotional depth—shaping a universe where the body becomes both subject and language.

I’m known as Ezra Roman on X and OnlyFans, but you can call me Romain. I’m originally from France, and for nearly nine years my work has moved between image, storytelling, and performance. I first worked as an illustrator and comic book artist—a profession that taught me discipline, attention to detail, and the importance of telling a story. Over time, this rigor naturally extended into other formats, particularly photography, and later into adult content creation, which I’ve been developing for the past five years.

Today, I live in Nantes, in western France, where I work as a fitness coach. It’s an important anchor for me: sport structures my daily life, fuels my creativity, and helps me maintain a strong balance between my different activities. These worlds might seem far apart, but I see them as complementary. Coaching brings discipline and human connection, while the artistic side allows me to express a more intuitive sensitivity. In the end, yes, it’s a lot to manage—but that’s exactly what drives me.

I approached adult content creation very naturally. I’ve never felt any particular discomfort with nudity; for me, it can be a visual language—intimate, aesthetic, and powerful. Very quickly, I wanted to develop a more refined, image-driven approach: carefully composed scenes, precise lighting, and close attention to textures, styling, and atmosphere. The goal has never been to shock, but to create an erotic universe that feels both elegant and personal. Over time, the challenge is to keep evolving and innovating without losing authenticity—that’s where artistic discipline and curiosity become essential.

If I had to describe my personality, I’d say I’m a perfectionist—sometimes a bit too much. When I start a project, I need to see it through properly, refining every detail until it matches what I had in mind. I’m also deeply passionate and fully invested in what I do. I can move from an idea to a plan, from a sketch to a shoot, then straight into a training session—all with the same intensity. People close to me often describe me as emotional and sarcastic. I embrace those contrasts—they’re part of my energy, my humor, and, apparently, my charm.

Since childhood, I’ve been drawn to anything artistic. Music came first—as a percussionist, then a pianist—which gave me a sense of rhythm and nuance. Drawing and comic books taught me storytelling, composition, and patience. Photography, both as a model and as an attentive observer, introduced me to another kind of presence: the body, the gaze, the unspoken. I’ve always needed to create—and above all, to create in spaces that truly resonate with me, even if that means taking less obvious paths.

Recently, I’ve been developing a project that’s especially close to my heart: an exhibition designed to bring together my different passions around a single theme. The central focus is mental health, explored from multiple angles—fragility, resilience, solitude, anger, calm—with the aim of creating a strong sensory experience. I imagine a journey where image (photography and illustration), sound (music, rhythm, atmosphere), and narrative interact to create a space that is both beautiful, confronting, and welcoming. Mental health is still too often overlooked in our society. With this project, I want to contribute, in my own way, to bringing it back into focus—and to remind people that speaking openly about emotions, whether light or heavy, can truly save lives.

20 QUESTIONS FOR ROMAIN BY GAYWOOF

1) Where are you from and where are you currently based? I come from Tourcoing, a city in the north of France. Currently, I have been living in Nantes for 13 years. I moved there to study and have stayed ever since.

2) What is one of the best things about the city you live in? One of the best things? The encounters I have had. I think they have made me who I am today, and I have learned a lot from these people. Moreover, the city itself is full of inspiring places. The Château des Ducs de Bretagne, for example, is a must-see. Its majestic architecture and history offer an ideal setting to escape, recharge, or simply take the time to observe. I like to walk there, whether for a visit or just to enjoy the atmosphere of the area.

3) How would you describe yourself in three words?Emotional / Empathetic / Sharp. But there would be much more to say about me if you asked my friends.

4) Are you a morning or evening person? I would say more of a morning person. In France, we say “The future belongs to those who wake up early.” Although I must admit it takes me some time to wake up. Let me have a coffee and a small hour of reflection to get out of bed and I will be available for you. But the night suits me as well.

5) What are the three things you cannot live without? Fashion — I have a passion for it, I love putting together my outfits for upcoming seasons. It is so exciting to search for “the” outfit I will wear. Sport — it has become a habit for me. It may sound cliché, but I need to manage my image as I wish for my well-being. Aesthetics are important to me. And art. Of the three, this is the one I truly could not live without. I grew up with music and drawing, and over time I learned to appreciate the art of photography. It is what defines me as a person.

6) What is inspiring you right now? If I had to specify what inspires me at the moment, I would mention Egon Schiele without hesitation. I discovered him very recently while exploring the work of Gustav Klimt for a project. Diving into Schiele’s universe is confronting a raw and uncompromising intensity, far from the traditional aesthetic codes of Art Nouveau. His way of representing bodies, emotions laid bare, the bold use of lines and colors… all of this completely moved me and opened new perspectives. The works of the Viennese Secession are often synonymous with refinement and ornamentation, but Schiele dares sharp expression, vivid gestures, sometimes disturbing, but always vibrant. This artistic encounter gave me real momentum, an interesting energy for my own projects. More than a simple discovery, it is an awareness of the strength art can have when it frees itself from conventions. Right now, I draw from this unfiltered perspective to reinvent the way I create, and I see how inspiration is sometimes born from confronting what unsettles us, questions us, and ultimately reveals us.

7) Your guilty pleasure? Flan pastries — why make things complicated when you can keep them simple. But for dietary reasons, I eat them in moderation.

8) Who are you listening to right now? At the moment, I am listening to the latest album by Nine Inch Nails “Nine Inch Noize,” of course “MAYHEM” by Lady Gaga. And artists to highlight that I recommend: Robert Francis, Thomas Azier and Adé. I really like pop/electronic and dark sounds.

9) What is the last TV series or film you watched? The last TV series I watched was “Scarpetta” with Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis. Honestly, I recommend the series if you do not have a problem with blood and hearses. Among the films I have recently seen and particularly recommend is La Chimera. This feature film stands out for its unique universe and its ability to captivate you throughout the story. With Josh O'Connor in the lead role, the film offers an original cinematic experience worth discovering.

10) Your favorite place to visit? Switzerland. I had the opportunity to visit the country a few years ago during a road trip with my best friend. As long as I am in a calm and unfamiliar place, preferably in the mountains, it suits me.

11) City break, mountain hike or relaxing by the pool? Mountain hike — it will give me bigger thighs.

12) Gym session or lazy Sunday in bed? Gym session, and then staying in bed the rest of the day. Especially when it is a leg session. In front of a good movie with your crush.

13) Coffee or tea? Rather matcha and ube.

14) The food you cannot live without? French cuisine. Gratin dauphinois with a good red meat, followed by a tarte tatin for dessert. Make me that and I will marry you immediately!

15) What is your favorite body part to train? Lower body. I would say it is probably the most difficult and energy-consuming session, but when you see the results, you can only admire your efforts. And I love my glutes.

16) What body part do people compliment you on the most? Often my upper body when I am at the gym because I have very big triceps and a good back, but considering what I show on social media, I would say my butt is often highlighted.

Romain by Damien Calvet

17) Briefs, trunks or jockstraps? Rather briefs, but I do not say no to jockstraps. It depends on my mood of the day.

18) Shaved or unshaved? I would say groomed — body hair is good, but in moderation.

19) One thing people would be surprised to know about you? People are often surprised to learn that I am an adult content creator. Even though mentalities have evolved in recent years, it remains a topic that intrigues, especially when it concerns someone you know well. Reactions can be both positive and negative, but the surprise remains. That said, I am not the type to give too much importance to others’ opinions. Life is too short to dwell on everyone’s choices or judgments.

20) If GayWoof hosted a party, what would it look like? In a beautiful villa in San Francisco during the summer, with a huge pool for a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Of course, I would take care of the music — you would not be disappointed.
