Scientist by profession and model by passion, Alejandro believes authenticity is one of the bravest ways to live. Based in Mexico City, he balances a career in education and research with fitness, travel, photography, and a love of the arts. In this GayWoof Woof Spotlight, he talks about confidence, self-expression, modeling, and why embracing who you are is the key to a fulfilling life.

My name is Alejandro, Im Mexican and I consider myself someone who has learned to find balance between a passion for knowledge, a love for culture, and a constant desire to embrace experiences that foster personal growth. Throughout my life, I have discovered that authenticity is one of the bravest ways to live, and that belief guides me both professionally and personally.

Music has always been a constant companion on my journey. One of the artists I admire most is Lara Fabian, whose ability to convey deep emotions has resonated with me through different stages of my life. Her songs speak of love, strength, loss, and hope—universal themes that many people, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, can relate to through their own experiences.

Traveling is another great passion of mine. I love exploring beaches, discovering new cities, and experiencing places with different climates and atmospheres. Every trip is an opportunity to broaden my perspective, meet new people, and appreciate the diversity of our world. Traveling has taught me the importance of openness, empathy, and respect for different cultures and ways of life.

I am also deeply passionate about the arts. I enjoy attending theater performances, visiting museums, and watching films because I believe art has the power to inspire, challenge, and connect us. Through artistic expression, we often find reflections of our own lives and experiences, creating meaningful connections that transcend backgrounds and borders.

Physical fitness plays an important role in my daily life. Beyond its physical benefits, exercise represents self-care, discipline, and emotional well-being. It helps me maintain balance and reminds me of the importance of investing time in both physical and mental health. I believe that feeling confident begins with taking care of ourselves and embracing who we are.

In recent years, I have discovered a new form of self-expression through modeling. Thanks to my friend and photographer, @sir_jefe, I have participated in several photo shoots that allowed me to see myself from a different perspective. Being in front of the camera has helped me develop confidence and appreciate the creativity involved in photography. It has been a rewarding experience that has encouraged me to embrace my individuality and express myself more freely.

Professionally, I am passionate about education, research, and the pursuit of knowledge. As a researcher and educator, I have dedicated much of my career to scientific inquiry and the training of future professionals. These experiences have reinforced my belief that knowledge can transform lives and create opportunities for positive change.

As a gay man, being part of the LGBTQ+ community has taught me resilience, empathy, and pride. I have learned that living authentically is not always the easiest path, but it is often the most rewarding one. I believe in the importance of creating spaces where people can express themselves freely, love openly, and feel respected for who they are.

Today, I value the freedom to live authentically and pursue the things that inspire me. Whether through my work, my travels, my love of the arts, or my personal experiences, I strive to live with honesty, curiosity, and purpose. If there is one lesson I have learned, it is that true happiness comes from embracing your own story and having the courage to live it proudly.
